Saturday is here and with it comes another musical interlude to accompany me on my journey through the world of Not What it Used to Be. A spot more psychedelia is just what the doctor ordered, but on a far more mellow note than yesterday’s White Rabbit’.

Today it’s the turn of the mighty Pink Floyd, and a sublime little recording taken from 1969’s Ummagumma when they were undergoing a transformation from an acid-soaked psychedelic band to fully formed prog rockers.

It’s long one at just over seven minutes, so sit yourself down and make yourself comfortable… Oh, and bear with the first 30 seconds or so of birds tweeting; a gentle guitar will slowly drift into your consciousness forthwith.

So with no further ado, here is Pink Floyd and ‘Grantchester Meadows’.

Enjoy :)
